I read an interesting article in Newsweek about Abraham Lincoln. Sometimes it is hard to tell facts from opinions.

Our class is excited to learn 200 facts about Lincoln on his 200th birthday party. We think we should have cupcakes for the entire school with a lucky penny on top as a celebration. What do you think?

Our class found so many interesting things. How do you know what is fact and what is fiction. We think some stories get told and passed around so much, people start to think their facts when they really aren't!

Reading history books that have good references is a way to find the truth about the Civil War and Abraham Lincoln's life. There are many good ones written for young readers.
